Speech Therapy For Children

Can speech therapy help apraxia of speech?

Yes. Childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) is a motor-speech disorder where a child knows what they want to say, but the brain has trouble coordinating the muscle movements needed to say it. Frequent, individualized speech-language therapy is the primary evidence-based treatment, helping children practise sound sequences and build clearer, more reliable speech over time.
