Occupational Therapist
Alina completed her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy in Brisbane, Australia. She was a Psychology major and Health Sciences minor in her bachelor’s program at Simon Fraser University. Her treatment style is using evidence-based practice to deliver optimal service while ensuring that clients feel supported throughout their occupational therapy journey. Alina specializes in cognitive rehabilitation as well as working with adults who have undergone a traumatic brain injury and experiencing physical, cognitive, functional, and mental health challenges. She has experience working with children who have speech and/or language impairments, developmental disorders, and intellectual disabilities.
Alina is registered with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) and has Standard First Aid training with CPR-C-AED).
Alina's motivation stems from her passion to help others. She believes Occupational Therapy is a profession which allows her to better understand barriers as well as social determinants of health that may be impacting one's quality of life in order to support overall health and wellness. Alina's personal experience with rehabilitation enables her to create meaningful connections with her clients.
