Mubashshir Zakir is a founder of Swift Health, he currently works as the managing director of the company. Mubashshir is often referred to as Bash.
Bash is a software developer by training. Put into leadership positions early in his career, he has led software teams to develop custom data-collection solutions in the market research industry. He then switched into the healthcare industry, and along with his sister Nushabah Zakir started Swift Health.
Bash graduated from the University of British Columbia, with a bachelor’s in computer science. As a partner in his previous company, he helped lead it to be listed as one of British Columbia’s “Fasted Growing Companies”. He later was selected as TechStars founder and moved to the US for 3 months to help launch a start-up in the healthcare sector.
A key driver in Bash's life is his parents who were refugees twice in their life. Their determination inspires him to work hard. When it comes to Swift Health, Bash is inspired by the testimonials from Swift clients and the passion the Swift Health team brings to their work every day.
Bash always dreamed of being a pilot but fell in love with software development in high school. Bash was a partner in a fast-growing startup as his sister and Co-Founder Noshi was starting her career as an Occupational Therapist. While working at his other company, Bash would create tools for his sister to help with her practice. The more he learned about her work and the difference she made -- especially when it came to children with learning disabilities or autism. Soon he decided to switch into health care and started Swift Health.
