Samuel graduated from the University of British Columbia, with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and went on to complete his Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy at Queen’s University.
Inspirations | Motivations
Samuel has always had an interest in healthcare from a young age and began exploring various health-related professions throughout his post-secondary education. He was immediately drawn to occupational therapy due to its holistic, client-centered approach and the wide range of clinical opportunities the profession encompasses. From working with young children with developmental challenges to adults with physical, cognitive, or psychosocial challenges, occupational therapy enables individuals across the lifespan to engage in their meaningful work and activity. Samuel finds this overarching goal of assisting individuals to achieve their optimum health, well-being and independence to be incredibly rewarding and one of the main reasons why he chose to be an occupational therapist.
Personal Life
Samuel is an avid traveller always seeking opportunities to experience different cultures, customs and cuisines. He additionally enjoys an active lifestyle and spends his spare time playing basketball, snowboarding and spending time in the great outdoors.
